"You just Have to Stay here"

This was heaven, We had the honeymoon room and we had themaddest time there. We stayed for 3 nights. The dynamic duo Abdullah and Allah-Din took the best care of us. Nothing was impossible. If you are not staying here, then at least catch the food made by Allah-Din. Go at lunch time and order your food and turn up in the evening to a fantastic home made meal right on the top of the Fort.

"The Desert Haveli is the best!"

stayed for around a week in the Desert Haveli. We had planned to only spend a couple of nights but like it so much that we stayed longer. The Haveli has a friendly atmosphere. It has rooms of varying standard and price, with one special room the our room had lots of character, with the sand coloured stone - The haveli has a lovely roof top terrace with a view looking down from the fort. and it serves food on the roof. The food is, without a doubt, the best I had in India. His Rajasthani Thali is wonderful and includes his specialKer Sangri which is peculiar to this region and is delicious.

The highlight of our trip to Jaisalmer was certainly the wonderful staff at Desert Haveli. They were all really great- we spent one evening enjoying chai with them and talknig about everything. The rooms were very nice, had a great location and very very cheap. We were picked up at the train station and we were wonderully surpised!

"Hiding out in the fort!"
